Nuestro tercer día en Dubai lo dedicamos a visitar Abu Dhabi, junto con su famosa mezquita Sheikh Zayed, y a conocer el Dubai Mall, el centro comercial más grande del mundo.
Comenzaré hablando de nuestra visita a Abu Dhabi. Contratamos una excursión e hicimos una panorámica de la ciudad desde nuestro autobús. Estuvo bien porque el calor y, nuevamente la distancia, no nos habrían permitido hacerlo por nuestro propio pie. Lo que es la ciudad en sí me pareció impresionante, pero no tanto como Dubai. Nos detuvimos para contemplar el Emirates Palace, uno de los hoteles más lujosos del mundo y lugar elegido para la grabación de la película de Sexo en Nueva York que se desarrolló en Abu Dhabi.
Pero da igual, no importa como sea la ciudad. Tenéis que ir. Y el motivo tiene un nombre: Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Yo, que no es que sea una experta en mezquitas, conozco la de Córdoba y poco más, me quede sin palabras ante tanta majestuosidad. Construida íntegramente en mármol blanco y oro macizo, se trata de una verdadera obra de arte.
Las fotos no son suficientemente reveladoras, si tenéis la ocasión de visitarlo, no dejéis de hacerlo. El ambiente es de lo más curioso, como si entrases en una dimensión paralela. El código de vestimenta como os estaréis imaginando está muy claro, la cultura es la cultura.
Por último el centro comercial más grande del mundo, el Dubai Mall. Un acuario, todas las tiendas de lujo que os podáis imaginar (también low cost), una cascada,… y los restaurantes, aaaay los restaurantes! Mejor que no os guste comer, porque os volveréis locas!! Yo no sabía ni qué tomar! Había una heladería en la que te fabricaban, literalmente, el helado al momento. Yo tomé uno buenísimo de galletita salada.
Mi única recomendación aquí es que no paguéis la entrada al acuario. Más allá del hecho de estar dentro de un centro comercial no merece tanto la pena.

Our third day in Dubai is dedicated to visiting Abu Dhabi along with its famous Sheikh Zayed Mosque and to Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping center.
I’ll start by talking about our visit to Abu Dhabi. We hired an excursion and did a panoramic view of the city from our bus. It was good because the heat and, again, the distance, would not have allowed us to do it on our own foot.
What is the city itself I found impressive, but not as much as Dubai. We stopped to admire the Emirates Palace, one of the most luxurious hotels in the world and chosen place for the recording of the Sex and the City movie that took place in Abu Dhabi.
But it doesn’t matter, whatever the city may be. You have to go. And the motif has a name: Sheikh Zayed Mosque. I, who is not an expert in the mosque, I know Cordoba and little else, I am speechless before such majesty. Constructed entirely in white marble and solid gold, it is a true work of art.
The photos are not revealing enough, if you have the opportunity to visit, don’t stop. The atmosphere is the most curious, as if entrases in a parallel dimension. The dress code how you will be imagining is very clear, culture is culture.
Lastly the biggest shopping mall in the world, the Dubai Mall. An aquarium, all the deluxe shops you can imagine (also low cost), a waterfall,… and restaurants, OMG restaurants! It’s better that you don’t like to eat, because you’ll go crazy!! I didn’t know what to drink! There was an ice cream parlor where they literally made ice cream at the time. I had a really good cracker salad.
My only recommendation here is that you don’t pay the entrance to the aquarium. Beyond the fact of being inside a mall is not worth so much.
