Muchos besos!!

Making the world a little backward, today I tell you what was our first day in Berlin. As soon as we arrived in the city we realized its magnitude, so we
decided that it would be best to have as global a vision as possible,
and visit those sites that for one reason or another seemed more
essential to us.We
opted for a combined voucher that gave us access to a tourist bus, of
these you get on and off as many times as you want, with a duration of
48h and that also included the boat trip of which I spoke yesterday. This option has its pros, but it can also have its cons. The
best part, without a doubt, is that it allows you in about four hours
(which is approximately the length of the tours of the two lines
included) to have a general view of Berlin and to have the feeling that
you have seen enough things. It’s also very good to be able to get on and off, because it gives you
the freedom to spend some more time in the monuments that interest you,
and not have to make the typical souvenir photo in a hurry and running
up from the bus. For
that part we certainly made up for taking these buses, but since I want
to make a sincere review, I´m going to comment on some setbacks that
it’s better that you take into account, for what might happen. When
buying tickets inform you about whether in the days for which you are
going to buy it’s expected that there will be an event/demonstration
in the areas through which the routes run, if so the company can cancel
or modify stops, and is better that you are informed. On the other hand, ask in which languages are the two routes discussed. The
most typical one is in Spanish, but in ours the route of the east side
gallery was only available in English and German (and that doesn’t
bother to tell you when you are selling tickets) and, finally, although
this was a great bad luck, if one of the buses breaks down and they don’t have any
more fleet, the times between one bus and the next may dilate in time.In short, personally I think it’s a good option, but it’s better to be
well informed about everything and have a little «prepared» mind for
some unexpected changes that can modify the plans of your day. That
said, we made the red route complete, that of classic Berlin, we
learned interesting things about the city and it was an entertaining
excursion. When
we returned to the point of origin we ate something and, due to a bus
failure (which prevented us from taking the green line), we decided to
go see the Berlin Cathedral, an impressive monument. It’s located in what is known as the island of museums, one of the most beautiful places in the city for my taste. After
this we tried to take the boat, but we didn’t arrive in time before it
left the last of the afternoon, so we opted to go to Kudamm, the most
famous commercial area of Berlin. There you can find all the luxury and fast fashion stores that you can imagine. I
recommend you to have a coffee in Kranzler and visit the Kadewe
shopping center (it’s something like Harrods), all the luxury
imaginable, all the cosmetic brands, a spectacular gourmet area,…
definitely a place to get lost! There we took the opportunity to dine and decided to leave to regain strength!I hope you liked this little guide. It is not very deep because there was not time either, but if you are
going to have a first contact with the city, I think it can be useful!Lots of kisses!!@CCPetiteRobe
