Querido amigo,
espero
que esta carta te pille bien, que estes abrigando la cabeza de algún
sin techo o ejerciendo de nido para algún ave. Seré sincera, hace ya un
par de semanas que te fuiste y has dejado un gran vacío en mi armario,
he tratado de reemplazarte, pero no he encontrado otro como tú,
realmente eras especial. Por aquí todos estamos bien, mamá, papá,
Álvaro, Abril y las chicas, bueno, ellos puede que estén un poco hartos
de oirme protestar por tu pérdida, pero ya saben como soy. Qué
momentazos pasamos juntos eh? Te acuerdas de las ardillas de aquel
parque de Londres? Pues te diré, por si te llevan a Central Park, que
las de NYC son más agresivas, a mí me atacó una (se montó una sangría
que alucinas), ahora estoy bien, no te preocupes, pero cuídate de ellas.
Bueno querido amigo, me voy despidiendo, sólo me resta agradecerte por
haberme dado tan buenos looks, y que incluso en tus últimos momentos me
hayas regalado estas fotografías tan maravillosas en uno de mis lugares
favoritos del planeta, el puente de Brooklyn, siempre que las vea
pensaré en nosotros. Cuídate mucho querido amigo, te deseo una muy feliz

I couldn’t miss this post in one of my favorite places in the world, the Brooklyn Bridge.
I love it, it has a special magnetism. This time we went through a day before lunch (good choice) and another day at sunset (bad choice). I tell you, in summer, here I could see one of the most impressive sunsets I remember, but of course, it was summer. To do this in the middle of December is to risk freezing, literally, besides the sunset is not like in summer, so if you go in winter, you better go at noon.
People are always there, a lot. If you wait and block a bit at an angle you can try to take a picture where it seems that you are «alone», but those idyllic photos that you see on the internet are the result of a great use of photoshop, or a championship early bird.
Next to this bridge is one of the most famous pizzerias in NYC, Grimmaldis, for my taste they have lost quality. I have a better memory of our first visit in 2013, for my taste right now I’m left with a very close call Ignazios. The pizza is more crispy and light and also this has spectacular views of the bridge, which the other doesn’t. The prices are identical in both.
The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to going to know Dyker Heights, a neighborhood famous south of Brooklyn for the Christmas decoration of their houses, which as you see in the photos is the style of the movies home alone. It caught my attention and I don’t regret anything having gone (it’s quite far away), it brings you a little closer to the essence of American Christmas, it’s very curious!
If you follow me in IG you will know full well that the hat of these photos I lost on the Brooklyn Bridge. Too much wind and I too confident, badly haha. In instagram I have dedicated a farewell letter, which I will share here in case you have not seen it before!

I hope that this letter catches you well, that you are sheltering the head of some homeless or acting as a nest for some bird. I’ll be honest, a couple of weeks ago you go and left a big vacuum in my closet, I tried to replace you, but I have not found another like you, you were really special. Around here we are all well, mom, dad, Alvaro, April and the girls, well, they may be a little tired of hearing me protest your loss, but you know how I am. What momentazos we spent together huh? Do you remember the squirrels in that London park? Well, I’ll tell you, in case you’re taken to Central Park, NYC’s are more aggressive, I was attacked by one (a sangria was made that hallucinates), now I’m fine, don’t worry, but beware of them. Well, dear friend, I’m saying goodbye, I just need to thank you for giving me such good looks, and that even in your last moments you have given me these wonderful photographs in one of my favorite places on the planet, the Brooklyn Bridge, as long as see I will think of us.
