Volver al país del chocolate siempre es una buena idea!! Hace unos tres años visité Bruselas por primera vez, y volver ahora ha sido todo un placer, me ha servido para tener una visión mucho más completa de la ciudad, ya incluso tenía calles «conectadas» en mi cabeza (me hace ilusión cuando me ubico en una ciudad y no necesito utilizar el GPS jaja).
En mi instagram, tenéis una carpeta en historias destacadas con una guía de los principales monumentos de la ciudad, está con bastantes fotos y yo creo que es muy ejemplificativa! Me encanta lo manejable que es Bruselas, es una ciudad perfecta para conoce en un fin de semana, de hecho, si os dais la suficiente prisa, incluso podéis hacer un recorrido bastante completo en sólo 24 horas.
Los monumentos que pienso que representan más la ciudad, y que nosotros visitamos os lo dejo por aquí: tomamos el metro hasta Porte de Hal (en general, salvo a puntos más alejados la ciudad está bien conectada a través de metro, bus y tranvía) de ahí nos fuimos caminando al Palais de Justice, entrar debe ser algo digno de ver, por desgracia los fines de semana está cerrado, así que nosotros nos lo perdimos.
Continuamos a pie hasta la Place du Petit Sablon, y justo al lado podréis ver Notre Dame du Sablon y la Place du Grand Sablon. A unos cinco minutos de ahí podéis contemplar el Mont des Arts, que ofrece una panorámica muy bonita de la ciudad, y a pocos metros hacia arriba encontraréis la Place Royal y el Palais Royal.
De iglesias (que hay muchas), nosotros visitamos St. Catherine, St. Madeleine y el Sagrado Corazón, esta última es la mayor e imponente de las que visitamos, también la más alejada, y cuenta con una cúpula que es un mirador, desde ella podéis subir y tener una panorámica de la ciudad por unos 5 euros, aunque os recomiendo que reviséis bien los horarios de apertura, porque en invierno la última subida es a las 15:30 y a las 16:00 cierran el mirador.
Por supuesto, no puede faltar vuestra visita a la Grand Place, uno de los lugares más bonitos de la ciudad, os recomiendo verla tanto de día como de noche, es digna de ver! Muy cerca de ella podemos visitar el famoso Manneken Pis y también tenemos la versión femenina Jeanneken Pis (incluso hay la versión en perro, aunque nosotros esa no la vimos).
Al lado de la plaza están las galerías St. Hubert, estas construcciones son muy típicas en la ciudad, dentro de ellas podéis encontrar muchas tiendas. Las que os acabo de comentar son las más famosas, y en un interior se encuentra una tienda, Maison Dandoy, donde preparan unas pastas y gofres muy buenos.
Hablando de gofres, dicen que los mejores son los que se encuentran justo a la izquierda del Manneken Pis, yo lo probé y pese a que prefiero los crepes la verdad es que estaba bastante bueno!!
Respecto a chocolates, encontraréis por todas las esquinas, para todos los gustos y bolsillos. En Bruselas hay una norma que exige que los chocolates tengan un 30% de pureza y que sólo contengan aceites de cacao (cuando os hable sobre Brujas y Gante os contaré que, para mi gusto, el chocolate en la primera es aún mejor, porque allí la legislación exige un 40% de pureza). De las que yo he probado, me gustaron mucho las trufas de Mary, y también un dulce que es una nube con galleta recurbierta de chocolate, muy rico!
Otras comidas típicas son los mejillones (de los que no os puedo decir mucho, porque a mí no me gustan) y las famosísimas patatas fritas, nosotros comimos las más famosas de la ciudad, las de Maison Antoine. Por sólo tres euros os darán un cucurucho del que comen bien tres personas. Están buenas, pero tengo que romper una lanza a favor de las patatas «de casa» como las llamamos por Asturias, las que se pelan y fríen en casa de toda la vida que, para mi gusto, son mejores.
El queso también está bueno, y si os gusta os recomendaré Cheese Kot, un establecimiento cercano a la Grand Place en los que venden bocadillos de queso Raclette (a un tamaño y precio realmente competente), podéis tomarlos solos o añadirles ingredientes y estaban muy buenos. También cerca tenéis un italiano llamado Pronto cuya relación calidad precio no está mal.
Uno de mis sitios favoritos para cenar, si os gusta este tipo de comida, es el Hard Rock. Está justo en la Grand Place y si os toca una mesa de la ventana tendréis unas vistas preciosas mientras disfrutáis de una rica comida. Tened en cuenta que muchas cocinas de restaurantes en la ciudad cierran a las 20:30h.
Los amantes de la cerveza no se pueden perder la famosísima Delirium Tremens, aunque si preferís bebidas espirituosas aquí también las podréis encontrar a un precio razonable.
De monumentos no podéis iros sin ver el Atomium (también os recomiendo revisar los horarios si queréis subir al interior porque son bastante reducidos), a mí me gusta más por la noche cuando lo iluminan.
También algo más alejado, pero digno de ver, tanto por su importancia como por su imponencia, es el Parlamento Europeo, además os quedará muy cerca de Maison Antoine para comeros unas patatas fritas!!
Hay muchos parques en la ciudad, pero para visitarlos (sobre todo si váis en invierno que hay menos horas de luz) necesitaréis al menos un día más, y por supuesto los amantes del cómic también tienen aquí su cuna.
En esta época podéis llegar a pasar mucho mucho frío. Nostros nos sentimos muy afortunador porque, aunque hizo bastante frío (unos -6 grados), tuvimos sol, y eso es realmente muy raro. Going back to the country of chocolate is always a good idea! About three years ago I visited Brussels for the first time, and going back now has been a pleasure, it has helped me to have a much more complete vision of the city, I even had «connected» streets in my head (I’m delighted when I locate in a city and I don’t need to use the GPS haha).
In my instagram, you have a folder in outstanding stories with a guide to the main monuments of the city, it’s with many photos and I think it is very exemplary! I love how manageable Brussels is, it’s a perfect city to get to know on a weekend, in fact, if you’re in a hurry, you can even take a pretty complete tour in just 24 hours.
The monuments that I think represent the most of the city, and that we visit here, we leave it here: we take the metro to Porte de Hal (in general, except to more distant points the city is well connected by metro, bus and tram) from there we went walking to the Palais de Justice, entering must be something worth seeing, unfortunately the weekends are closed, so we missed it.
We continue on foot to the Place du Petit Sablon, and right next to you can see Notre Dame du Sablon and the Place du Grand Sablon. About five minutes from there you can see the Mont des Arts, which offers a beautiful view of the city, and a few meters up you will find the Place Royal and the Palais Royal.

Very close to her we can visit the famous Manneken Pis and we also have the female version Jeanneken Pis (there is even the dog version, although we did not see it).
Next to the square are the St. Hubert galleries, these constructions are very typical in the city, inside them you can find many shops.
