Muchos besos!

Leaving work aside, going back to Madrid for a weekend to enjoy, even if it wasn’t like we could do it before, feels good.

We were also lucky enough to stay and get to know first-hand the hotel I want to tell you about in this post, Gran Melía Palacio de los Duques.

This is an impressive hotel located in the heart of Madrid, specifically in the Opera area, very close to the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral and just a five-minute walk from Gran Vía.

The accommodation belongs to the group «The Leading Hotels of the World», and it is no wonder, I hope to be able to transfer you through these photographs a little of its essence.

All its decoration is inspired by the work of the painter Velázquez, but with a careful modern and avant-garde proposal, taking care of even the smallest detail in all rooms and rooms, which are designed for the enjoyment and relaxation of guests.

The rooms are very spacious, equipped with everything you need and the furniture is very comfortable, the beds are huge and there are several pillows to choose from. In addition to this, the hotel staff were lovely and made sure that everything was to our liking.

It has a beautiful garden, a kind of oasis in the heart of the capital, it offers different gastronomic proposals, including breakfast, which currently, for health reasons, is served on request. It’s extensive and has options for all tastes and needs.

One of my favorite parts has been the roof. The pool and jacuzzi are located there, both with impressive views of the Madrid skyline. The lounger area is really comfortable and becomes a perfect plan to relax and disconnect a bit from the rhythm of Madrid.

Currently it is necessary to reserve the use of the Jacuzzi at the reception, also for sanitary reasons.

Finally, the rooftop becomes a terrace for drinks and is a splendid place to enjoy the sunset with a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

The hotel has a parking lot right next to it that can be reserved in advance (you can use the ParClick app), or access directly without any problem.

Of course we live a weekend to remember, if I had to make a mistake, I can only say that… it happened too fast!!

Lots of kisses!
