Este verano hicimos una pequeña escapada a Córdoba, y lo tuvo todo, pet friendly y un alojamiento con las mejores vistas de la ciudad.
Hacía ya más de diez años que no visitaba la ciudad, sin duda otra joya más para el turismo nacional. En esta ocasión lo hice acompañada de mi perrita Abril, si tenéis mascotas sabréis que encontrar hoteles que admitan mascotas puede volverse una tarea complicada, todo lo contrario a lo que sucedió en este viaje.
Nos alojamos en Córdoba durante dos noches, tiempo suficiente para disfrutar un poco del casco antiguo de la ciudad, sus patios, las tapas y el buen ambiente. Nos hospedamos en el hotel Hesperia Córdoba, como os digo es un hotel pet friendly, pero pet friendly de verdad. En pocos hoteles te permiten ir a desayunar con tu perro, en este puedes hacerlo y además en un patio andaluz precioso (y con un desayuno super variado, por cierto). Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, y aquí viene la segunda joya del alojamiento: sus vistas. Tanto nuestra habitación como su azotea tienen unas vistas privilegiadas sobre el casco histórico de la ciudad. La azotea es un lugar muy agradable (al que, por cierto, también puede acompañaros vuestro perrito) en el que podéis disfrutar de alguna bebida con las mejores vistas de la ciudad.
Fuimos en pleno agosto, por lo que el calor era realmente intenso, así que agradecimos mucho que el hotel contase con piscina, para refresarnos un poco en las horas centrales del día.
Desde el hotel llegábamos caminando al centro histórico de la ciudad en poco más de diez minutos. Los patios cordobeses también están muy bien comunicados, tanto a pie como en coche o transporte.
Os recomiendo visitar los patios cordobeses con calma, dejaos empapar por su historia y sus colores, las personas que cuidan los patios fueron muy amables con nosotros y nos contaron muchas curiosidades sobre ellos.
Cruzar el puente romano de Córdoba es otra de mis cosas favoritas en la ciudad, especialmente cuando lo haces desde el lado del hotel, porque es como si entrases en otra época, realmente mágico.
Tengo pendiente volver en otra época (las veces que he visitado la ciudad ha sido en verano) y algunos monumentos estaban cerrados por la época o las altas temperaturas.

This summer we made a short getaway to Córdoba, and it had everything: pet friendly and accommodation with the best views of the city.
It had been more than ten years since I visited the city, without a doubt another gem for national tourism.
On this occasion I did it accompanied by my dog Abril. If you have pets you will know that finding hotels that allow pets can become a complicated task, quite the opposite of what happened on this trip.
We stayed in Córdoba for two nights, enough time to enjoy a bit of the old town, its patios, the tapas and the good atmosphere. We stayed at the Hesperia Córdoba hotel, as I said, it’s a pet friendly hotel, but really pet friendly. Few hotels allow you to go to breakfast with your dog, in this one you can do it and also in a beautiful Andalusian patio (and with a super varied breakfast, by the way). The rooms are very comfortable, and here comes the second jewel of the accommodation: its views.
Both our room and its rooftop have privileged views over the historic center of the city. The rooftop is a very nice place (and, by the way, you can also take your dog with you there) where you can enjoy a drink with the best views of the city.
We went in the middle of August, so the heat was really intense, so we were very grateful that the hotel had a pool, to cool off a bit during the central hours of the day. From the hotel we walked to the historic center of the city in just over ten minutes. The Cordoba courtyards are also very well connected, both on foot and by car or public transport.
I recommend visiting the Cordoba courtyards at your leisure, let yourself be soaked in their history and colors, the people who look after the courtyards were very kind to us and told us many interesting things about them.
Crossing the Roman bridge in Cordoba is another of my favorite things in the city, especially when you do it from the hotel side, because it is as if you were entering another era, truly magical.
I’m planning to go back another time (the times I’ve visited the city have been in summer) and some monuments were closed due to the season or the high temperatures.
