ZARAGOZA EN 48H

Sin duda una de las cosas que aprecio de estar viviendo una temporada en Barcelona es la posibilidad de descubrir lugares que, de otro modo, resultaría mucho más difícil escaparse a ver.

Este es el claro ejemplo de Zaragoza! Llevaba un par de años con muchísimas ganas de visitar esta ciudad y por fin pudimos hacerlo y en compañía de nuestra pequeña Abril!

Es cierto que el calor ya apretaba bastante, pero entre terrazas, helados y un rato descansando en el hotel, lo llevamos estupendamente.

En mi opinión se trata de una ciudad que se puede visitar a gusto en un fin de semana. Como siempre dependerá de lo minucioso que sea cada uno en sus visitas, donde quiera dedicar más tiempo, etc. Pero para una aproximación general creo que es tiempo más que suficiente!

Nos dejamos llevar por sus calles señoriales que nos condujeron por fachadas de ensueño por sus callejuelas, hasta conocer la joya más ansiada de todas: El Pilar. Puedo deciros que para mi todo el viaje mereció la pena sólo por contemplar El Pilar desde el puente de piedra. Fuimos de día y también a la puesta de sol, os recomiendo mucho hacer ambas visitas y aquí tenéis un truco: No os quedéis en los primeros balcones del puente, caminad hasta los finales, la perspectiva es mejor y hay menos gente!

Toda la zona de la antigua muralla, las ruinas romanas, el castillo, el mercado,… bien merecen una visita!
Nosotros nos alojamos en el hotel Hesperia Zaragoza Centro, está ubicado a unos 10 minutos andando del Pilar, en una avenida larga y a pocos minutos andando de los restaurantes y terrazas del centro. Sin duda tengo que recalcar dos cosas del alojamiento, la primera (y más importante) es pet friendly! Gracias a ellos pudimos llevarnos a Abril con nosotros, y quienes tengáis perro sabréis que esto, por desgracia, no siempre es tarea facil! Y la segunda (reconozco que esta era predecible) el desayuno. Adoro los desayunos tipo buffet y el de este Hesperia era super completo, con muchísima variedad y una calidad de 10, sin duda repetiría!
El alojamiento cuenta también con parking privado, cosa que nos vino genial para despreocuparnos del coche durante nuestra estancia!

Siguiendo los consejos de mis queridas seguidoras de instagram (@ccpetiterobe si aún no me sigues por ahí), fuimos a comer a un restaurante llamado Meli Melo y… acierto total! Si vais por la ciudad sin duda os lo recomiendo!

Al marcharnos aprovechamos para acercarnos a conocer el pueblo de Belchite y (DATO IMPORTANTE) sólo se puede entrar con visitas guiadas en unos horarios establecidos, así que informaos bien antes de ir, más ahora en verano que hace tanto calor! Los perritos pueden entrar siempre que vayan atados!

Ahora mismo os escribo este post desde un autobús con destino Madrid, que es donde pasaremos un finde top pasado por agua (en instagram os enseño más), y la próxima semana ya ponemos rumbo a nuestras vacaciones ¡no puedo tener más ganas! Undoubtedly one of the things I appreciate about spending a season in Barcelona is the possibility of discovering places that, otherwise, it would be much more difficult to escape to see.

This is the clear example of Zaragoza! I had been wanting to visit this city for a couple of years and finally we were able to do it and in the company of our little April!

It’s true that the heat was already quite tight, but between terraces, ice creams and a while resting in the hotel, we got along great.

In my opinion, it’s a city that can be visited comfortably in a weekend. As always, it will depend on how thorough each one is in their visits, where they want to spend more time, etc. But for a general approximation I think that is more than enough time!

We let ourselves be carried away by its stately streets that led us through dreamy facades through its alleys, until we discovered the most coveted jewel of all: El Pilar. I can tell you that for me the entire trip was worth it just to contemplate El Pilar from the stone bridge. We went during the day and also at sunset, I highly recommend doing both visits and here’s a trick: don’t stay on the first balconies of the bridge, walk to the ends, the perspective is better and there are fewer people!

The whole area of the old wall, the Roman ruins, the castle, the market… well worth a visit! We stayed at the Hesperia Zaragoza Centro hotel, it’s located about 10 minutes walk from Pilar, on a long avenue and a few minutes walk from the restaurants and terraces of the center. Without a doubt, I have to emphasize two things about the accommodation, the first (and most important) is pet friendly! Thanks to them we were able to take April with us, and those of you who have a dog will know that this, unfortunately, is not always an easy task! And the second (I admit that this was predictable) breakfast. I love buffet breakfasts and the one at this Hesperia was super complete, with a lot of variety and a quality of 10, I would definitely repeat! The accommodation also has private parking, which was great for us to not worry about the car during our stay!

Following the advice of my dear instagram followers (@ccpetiterobe if you still don’t follow me around), we went to eat at a restaurant called Meli Melo and… total success! If you go through the city I definitely recommend it!

When we left, we took the opportunity to get to know the town of Belchite and (IMPORTANT DATA) you can only enter with guided tours at established times, so inform yourself well before you go, especially now in summer when it is so hot! Puppies can enter as long as they are on a leash! And here our adventure! Right now I am writing this post to you from a bus bound for Madrid, which is where we will spend a top wet weekend (I show you more on Instagram), and next week we are heading to our vacations. I couldn’t be more excited! I will be showing you our plans and, as always, sharing with you the best corners and secrets!
